Hello, I'm René Schneider, a photographer based in Mannheim, Germany.
My work explores people, places, architecture, and the quiet moments that often go unnoticed. I am drawn to transitions—between movement and stillness, light and shadow, presence and absence.
Most photographs are created with a vintage Rolleiflex medium format camera from the 1950s. Its slower, deliberate process encourages me to observe rather than simply capture, making every frame an intentional decision.
BKLYN is my visual journal—a curated collection of photographs made over time, inspired by everyday life and by cities that never stop changing.
